Just a thought...
In these times when it seems
like there is no end
to the ever increasing
government intrusion
in our lives,
please always remember and
don't ever forget:
Government works for you.
You do not work for Government.
Did you know???
On September 18, 1948, when President Harry S. Truman was campaigning to be elected for a second term as President, he stopped in just north of Dexter Iowa at the National Plowing Match to give an address to the attendees.
There is a project in the works to erect a marker to commemorate the occasion. It's going to be located a mile or so north of Drew's Chocolates on the Dexfield Rd at the location of the Plowing Match. Construction should begin shortly. Be on the lookout for that.
